Uh oh! Here come a real mean stack of mushrooms! It looks like they been business, keep watch for their cannons! Knock their helmets off and they're as harmless as snails.
A triplet of some weird lil mushroom guys with mushroom cap-cannons. I tried a different method of drawing this time, opting to draw a character graphic as fast as I could whilst ignoring my perfectionism that often gets in the way of my art production.
I really like how it came out, even if the form could be a bit too loose for other people to enjoy, I suppose it was also a realisation that I most enjoy drawing if I'm drawing FOR me and I'm currently conflicted on whether or not I want to lean into that mindset all the way or balance it out with a more "professional" mindset where I take other sets of eyes into account.
[Flat colours version. Typically when I draw for fun, I always draw the lineart alongside the colouring process. I like to think of colour and lineart as one in the same when I draw. I think the results often end up prettier when I draw like this.]
[Lineart-only version. Whenever I draw a character illustration, I always want to keep the base-sketch visible. U think it compliments the lineart and I always loved seeing the blueprints of a drawing within the final product. If you want a great example of this, please look at the Skullgirls character lineup artwork. Great stuff all around.]
[Background-only version. I loved drawing the nuclear blast for the background. The Mushtroupe are nowhere near threatening by themselves, but I think this background elevates the intimidation by a whole 2%. I drew this without any sort of skectch-blueprint either, only because i thought of it on the spot and it's how I typically colour.]
